Renovations. That word strikes fear into some people, but excites others. However you may feel about them, there are many good reasons to do renovations. If you’re trying to sell your home but not getting the activity or price point you would like, renovations are probably your best bet. A recent study by NARI shows that complete kitchen renovations, kitchen upgrades, and bathroom renovations are the top three interior projects to appeal to buyers and add value to a home for resale. Other interior projects you can do to help the sale of your house include: adding a new bathroom, refinishing or adding hardwood floors, renovating the master suite, replacing the HVAC, and many others.

If you don’t feel like renovating the interior of your home (which admittedly can be a hassle) you can always renovate the exterior. The same NARI study showed that new roofing, new windows, and a new garage door are the top three exterior projects to appeal to buyers and add value to your home. Other exterior projects you can do include: new siding (vinyl or fiber-cement) and a new front door (steel or fiberglass).
